Life Jacket Loaner Program

The Utah Lake Life Jacket Loaner Program provides the public with free use of life jackets on a first-come, first-served basis. Research shows that most drowning could have been prevented if a life jacket had been worn by the victim. The goals for this program are to increase the wearing of life jackets during water-based activities as well as to educate the visiting public on the importance of proper use and fit of life jackets and water safety.

Measuring Success: Program Metrics for Utah Lake Water Safety Initiatives

The ULA is on a mission to improve safety at Utah Lake for all its visitors. Their commitment extends beyond mere infrastructure; it's about life jackets in action. Each calendar year, the ULA strives to establish at least one new life jacket loaner station, ensuring widespread coverage. These stations are prepared to protect lake users at many access points. The ULA actively looks for donors or donates themselves to provide life jackets, ensuring a continuous supply.

Take a moment to explore the statistics, consider contributing, and, most importantly, enjoy the lake with confidence. Remember, every life jacket matters. Let's keep Utah Lake safe for everyone!
